Dancing Bond

We had a blast this Ganesh Festival...
I simply loved to see my reflection in my daughter Aarya...
Dance has always been a major bonding force between us..

It was when I decided to Choreograph two songs for Aarya..
One solo and other a group dance...
I enjoyed Choreographing her.
I regained my confidence, creativity and also 'The Dance'.
I enjoyed the fights and persuasions for perfections...
Her commitment to master her steps was astonishing...
she danced so gracefully...

Her initial reluctance for group dance was tough to handle..
But it taught her being social and communicating with strangers...
It also imbibed into her the initial lessons of team spirit and importance of being a team player...
It taught her to respect and accept people with their shortcomings...

Even though she was neglected, my younger daughter Oviee, too learnt to understand rhythm and appreciate music....
Babies are keen observers and fast learners...
Till then it was just some hand movements on some nursery rhymes and popular film songs...
But now I see a change...I see her trying to co-ordinate her hands with her footsteps and dance to the tunes...
She has learnt following the dance and appreciating with applaud...

Speaking about Aarya, her dance was divine...
Her expressions were sincere and looked natural...
It was a proud moment for all of us when people praised her performance..
I remembered the fairy dance by Betsy-May(Enid blyton's character).

Frankly, I was the happiest when I danced later on stage with my old friends...
The experience was heavenly...
I was beaming with joy and tears in my eyes....
This was the very same stage where I grew up dancing...
I was nostalgic... The audience was still there happy to watch us dance....
How much I loved to see the appreciation in my husband's eyes who came running downstairs just to watch me dance...

Can someone please help me find the exact words to express my feelings...
Only if someone could capture my expressions without my knowledge right now when I'm writing this post...

I have grown-up dancing.
Dance is my stressbuster and shall always be...
To me dance is way of expression... it is a way to connect with GOD.
All praises to the Lord of Dance....
